The Refinement System in Ragnarok Online

Age of Discovery features a straightforward and guaranteed refinement system that allows players to enhance their equipment. Refinement boosts the stats of weapons and gear, making them more powerful and effective in combat.

How the Refinement System Works

• Refinement is 100% guaranteed, so there is no risk of failure during the process.
• To refine items, you will need specific materials:

Item	Type
Oridecon	Used for refining weapons.
Elunium	Used for refining other parts of the equipment (e.g., armor, accessories).

• The amount of materials required increases with each refinement level.
• Refinement levels range from +1 to +10, with +10 being the maximum refinement level.

Breaking Equipment for Materials

To streamline the process of obtaining refinement materials, Age of Discovery has implemented an NPC that allows players to break down unwanted equipment.

• Players can disassemble excess equipment obtained from gacha rolls or other sources.
• The disassembled items provide Oridecon, Elunium, or other materials that can be used to refine the gear they wish to improve.

Combining Rough Materials

Rough materials can be combined to create their refined counterparts:

• Rough Oridecon can be combined to create regular Oridecon.
• Rough Elunium can be combined to create regular Elunium.

Tips for Using the Refinement System

• Save Excess Equipment: Instead of discarding unwanted gear, use the NPC to break it down into refinement materials.
• Prioritize Key Equipment: Focus on refining items that are central to your build to maximize your effectiveness.
• Plan Refinement Levels: Consider the material cost for higher levels of refinement and refine strategically.
